Under general guidance, provides training and technical assistance to infant/toddler centers and family child contracted care providers.
Acts as the liaison between Easterseals Child Development Centers and child care partnership agencies.
Ensures Early Head Start (EHS) requirements for education are being completed by Child Care Partner (CCP) agencies and Family Childcare Home (FCC) providers.
Salary Range:
$62,400 - $73,125 / Year
Responsibilities:
Sustains a high quality infant toddler child care program that values partnerships between families, staff, and outside agencies.
Ensures compliance by each partnership agency.
Responsible for curriculum implementation and fidelity.
Coaches FCC providers and EHS, CCP provider staff on professional development.
Works closely with staff to oversee all aspects of classroom program planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of ESSC philosophy, developmentally appropriate practices, Accreditation and Environment Rating Scales, etc.
Delivers continual and proven improvement.
Responds appropriately and timely (within 24 hours) to parent concerns; involves teachers, administrators, families or external support personnel when needed.
Maintains professional Growth and Development Plans for infant toddler teachers and coordinates with EHS and CCP on training plans.
Acts as a member of the management team to ensure adherence to regulations, health and safety, facilities, operations, human resources, etc.
Participates in all center wide events.
Actively engages parents to participate in all aspects of center life.
Conducts annual program evaluations, which is inclusive of the opinions of families and staff.
Continually seeks ways to promote an early childhood program; brings relevant professionals to a variety of forums; remains active in the early childhood community.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and possession of a valid Site Supervisor Permit.
Two years of supervisory experience required; prior experience teaching in a preschool or infant/toddler classroom setting.
Successfully passed an Infant Toddler college class from a recognized university with a C grade or higher Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Skype) and other related computer software.
Must possess and maintain current pediatric (infant/toddler) CPR and first aid certificate.
Knowledge of program standards and guidelines of the California Department of Education, Funding terms and Conditions (Title 5), Child Development Division, Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing (Title 22), ESSC and of Early Head Start Performance Standards (Title 5, 17 and 22) Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups.
Must relate well to children and their families and maintain positive affect.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, establish and meet timelines, plan, coordinate and implement school site programs.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Must possess fine manual dexterity.
Ability to push, pull, talk/hear, with near and far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision.
Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test.
Ability to provide any/all current immunizations as required by the State of California for child development centers and staff.
Must complete California-mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training as well as Pesticide Safety Training (per Healthy Schools Act) prior to beginning work.
Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.
Ability to travel locally; maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration.
