Supervise Accounts Payable Department, consisting of Supervisor, Lead, Full-Cycle Specialists, and Data Entry Clerks.
Manage accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, of departmental activities through implementation of internal controls and periodic management reporting on statistical and throughput performance.
Main Responsibilities1.
Monitor and ensure daily transactional workflow efficiency and compliance within the Accounts Payable.
2.
Ongoing review of departmental division of labor and deadlines compliance with other accounting functions.
3.
Ongoing cross-training of A/P staff to ensure expected professional best-practices work environment.
4.
Implement workflow procedures and troubleshoot arising issues to maintain high-level staff productivity.
5.
Coordinate, as A/P lead contact with Operations functions, transaction flows and statutory payments.
6.
Coordinate, as A/P lead contact with vendors, productive working relationships and problem-resolutions.
7.
Hands-on familiarity and involvement with all Accounts Payable within the company and external practices.
8.
Ensure timely and orderly disbursement cycles, including intercompany, and A/P Aging normalized status.
9.
Ensure timely and comprehensive vendors statements reconciliations, including periodic status reporting.
10.
Periodic reporting on statistical productivity of A/P Specialists and Clerks, individual and group criteria.
11.
Monitoring of paperless Document Processing/Storage workflow to ensure uninterrupted work routine.
12.
Coordinate and ensure timely, complete, and accurate Accounts Payable month-end closings functions.
13.
Coordinate and ensure timely, complete, and accurate Accounts Payable role during fiscal year-end audits.
14.
Maintain up-to-date files for business licenses/permits renewals, property taxes, and leasing/utilities contracts to support timing and validity of payments due.
15.
Periodic staff evaluations, staff compliance with company policies, and personnel recommendations.
Skills and
Qualifications:

Bachelor degree from an U.
S.
accredited College/University is required.

years of Accounts Payable experience in medium-to-large environments.
3.

years as Accounts Payable manager or Supervisor in medium-to-large environments.
4.
Experience in centralized Accounts Payable environment, at the corporate level, is preferred.
5.
Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment and heavy transaction volume.
6.
Mid-range ERP environment and Excel/Word/Outlook experience is required.
7.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills for interaction with staff, vendors, and upper management.
8.
Excellent supervisory and problem-solving attributes.
